Academic Conferences

MDCU Conference Center of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, operates under the Academic Services Committee. Its responsibilities include organizing academic conferences as follows:

  1. Annual Academic Conference of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.
  2. Monthly Academic Conference.
  3. Academic Conference in collaboration with other medical faculties or institutions.
  4. Public Sector Academic Conference.
  5. Additional Academic Conferences assigned by the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, such as the QS Subject Focus Summit – Medicine 2020 or the TPAA Annual Conference.

The objectives of organizing academic conferences:

  • To disseminate the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University's academic research outcomes in the fields of Medicine and Public Health.
  • To serve as a platform for presenting academic works, exchanging ideas and experiences, and establishing collaborative networks among physicians and medical professionals both domestically and internationally.
  • To support and promote the development of quality assurance in healthcare services.
  • To enhance the academic atmosphere within the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, fostering a conducive environment for presenting research outcomes and building strong connections for collaborative activities between institutions.

  • Conference Formats:
    • Hybrid conference format: Involves both onsite and online participation.
    • Onsite conference format
    • Online conference format: Conducts through various platforms.
  • Conference Activities (may vary depending on format):
    • Multidisciplinary discussions
    • Presentation of research findings
    • MDCU medical tournament
    • Open house activities by a variety of departments
    • MDCU alumni meeting
    • Education lectures for general public

Services:

  • Provide basic guidelines for drafting academic conference proposals and offer advice on coordinating with relevant organizations involved in the conference organization process.
  • Organize academic conferences for assigned units.
  • Develop and host conference websites with registration systems on the MDCU Conference website (subject to specified conditions) for internal units.
  • Offer virtual meeting platform rentals under the regulations of the MDCU Conference Center.
